Favorable job market expected for Buffalo-Niagara Falls in 2013

Buffalo-Niagara Falls, NY employers expect to hire
a steady pace during Quarter 1 2013, according
to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.
From January to March, 19% of the companies
interviewed plan to hire more employees, while
12% expect to reduce staff. Another 67% expect to
maintain their current workforce levels and 2% are
not certain of their hiring plans. This yields a Net
Employment Outlook of 7%.
“Hiring activity is expected to increase during the
first quarter of 2013 compared to the fourth quarter
of 2012 when the Net Employment Outlook was 4%,”
said Manpower spokesperson Kelly M. Scott.
